It’s that time of year where you want all the game day recipes to celebrate with friends and family. Lemon pepper wings are the most popular wing flavor for a reason. They are easy to make, but the sauce and the process is the key! This is a cheap meal perfect for any budget as well.
To start out, season your wings heavily with season salt, garlic and onion powder, pepper, paprika, salt and lemon pepper seasoning and cornstarch. Now let that sit for 15-20 min.
Now it’s time to fry them in canola or vegetable oil until brown and crispy.
Time to make this mouth-watering lemon pepper sauce. I’ve had these from many places and sometimes they are overly seasoned. This sauce is the perfect balance of flavors!
In a saucepan, add a stick of butter. To that add lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning and honey. The honey is the key, it makes it balance out so well! Cook this on low for a few minutes and then pour all over the wings. Shake them in a bowl, to coat them well. Enjoy!
These are a crowd pleaser, and perfect for game day or just a relaxing night at home. Let me know how you like them.
