Why gifts matter on Valentines Day!

I’ve heard a variety of debates over Valentine’s Day and why some couples decide whether they want to celebrate it or not.  My husband and I celebrate it not for any other reason other than it’s a fun day to show each other a little extra love.

The truth is that every person likes to get gifts and these special days are great reminders to show the person you love, how much you truly cherish them.  In marriage, we can all fall short in this area and without these kind of days, many couples would drop the ball for the rest of the year as well.

I don’t think that showing each other appreciation should only be meant for this one day but, it’s better than doing nothing at all.  Valentine’s Day tends to focus more on women with candies and flowers.  However, it is just as important to show your husband how important he is to you as well.

A great way to do this is with JORD watches.  I got my husband one of these beautiful wood watches and he absolutely loves it!

These are great because, they look so different than the standard watch and he loves how it styles so easily with a casual or work outfit.

Our husbands appreciate gifts too and when we show them how much we value them.  I have been blessed with an amazing man that loves God with all of His heart.  He encourages our boys and is training them to be men that will be a light in this world.  He is my best friend and is always looking for ways to be a blessing to me and make me feel special.  I appreciate him so much and feel so blessed to walk this journey of life together. He has always made me feel special on Valentine’s Day and I’m excited to do the same for him.

After 11 years of marriage, I love him way more than I ever thought was even possible and I want to celebrate him in any way that I can.  This holiday is just another great opportunity to do that.

I love that watch! It is very different looking and I love that! I agree, that everyone likes getting gifts from the person they love. Even if they don’t want to admit it, I think most people do like Valentine’s Day.

I feel sad when people say they shouldn’t have to get their spouse/significant other something JUST because it’s Valentine’s Day. The truth is, sometimes we just don’t think about it and need a little reminder, like you said. It’s important to show appreciation to those we love.

I couldn’t agree with you more!! It really is so important.
