My kids go to camp every summer, so with all the restrictions in place right now I was racking my brain on how to keep them busy each day and how to still challenge their brains while giving them a sense of community.
It’s been challenging for my kids to have so little time with their peers, and they are sick of watching TV. So, finding anything that helps them find excitement in each day is a major win.
I was so excited to learn about iD Tech and their Virtual Tech Camps that are available for ages 7-19. They have so many different programs to learn, create and challenge your kids. These classes only have up to 5 kids, and are great for socialization while creating something your child can be proud of using Python, Java, Minecraft, Roblox, AI, Unreal Engine, Adobe, 3D modeling, and more.
Each session is 2 hours long with a live instructor (all instructors are adult, elite level educators) and a group of friends that share the same interest. My son has loved playing games, as well as having engaging lessons that strengthen his STEM skills. Each session is self-paced learning, so your child won’t feel rushed to complete anything.
As a mom, I love that my son can safely interact online with other kids and each virtual camp is project-based with a specific project being completed by the end of the camp.
I am so excited for my son to be able to do these each day, and it’s something he really looks forward to!
