These crispy baked wings are so easy to make and delicious, but healthier than their counterparts.
One of our family’s favorite foods are chicken wings. The only thing is frying them isn’t the healthiest option, but it’s hard to get them crispy any other way… until NOW!
I have figured out the key ingredient to getting your chicken wings crispy in the oven: BAKING POWDER!
I season my wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and season salt. Then I toss them in baking powder. That is it.
Do not mix this up with baking soda. I made this mistake before and they won’t be crispy and they will taste funny!
After coating them place them on parchment paper or a wire rack. This allows the liquid to drip down off the chicken wings, and even makes them crispier.
About 1/2 way through the baking time, I flip them and let them finish baking. The higher the temp, the crispier they become.
Eat them as is or toss them in your favorite sauce. Our family loves buffalo so, I mix together some Red Hot hot sauce with melted butter, toss and they are perfection.
So, when your craving some delicious crispy chicken wings, try your hand at these. They are simple, easy, and a crowd pleaser.
