Thanks to Cafe 1500 for sponsoring our anniversary dinner. All opinions are completely my own.
This week we celebrated 13 years of marriage. It is such a blessing to be married for this amount of time, and still enjoy being around each other. Marrying my husband has been the best decision I have made in my life, and I am so grateful to spend my entire life with such a caring, loving, and unselfish man.
We usually travel during our anniversary, but this year it wasn’t possible with preparing to move into a new home. However, my husband always makes every anniversary special and after 13 years, he bought me a new wedding ring! This meant so much for so many reasons, and I’m so grateful for his thoughtfulness, and intentionality in our relationship.
We were so excited to spend our evening at one of my favorite restaurants in Harrisburg, PA. Cafe 1500 is an American Bistro located in the heart of our city. The restaurant has a beautiful modern decor, incredibly fresh cuisine, and amazing drinks.
We started our meal with a few appetizers. My favorite was the Korean Fried Chicken and my husband loved the Char-grilled Octopus. We also enjoyed the Buttermilk Biscuits with jalapeno infused honey.
The flavors were delicious and everything was cooked to perfection.
For our main course, I ordered the Scottish Salmon with ginger sticky rice, sugar snap peas and charred corn. My husband was in heaven with the chef’s cut of the day. The pork tenderloin medallion was seasoned just right, with a crispy crust and a tender center. Whipped potatoes, and asparagus were a perfect addition.
The portions were great, but we still had a little bit of room for dessert.
I had a delicious peanut butter, frozen chocolate mousse dessert, and my husband enjoyed the key lime tart.
I’m grateful for good food, meaningful gifts, and time to connect while celebrating our 13th anniversary! What a blessing marriage is!
