3 Ways I am Building My Confidence

It is very important to build your confidence.  I used to think this confidence was only related to pride…but we are constantly bombarded with stuff that makes us feel poorly about ourselves.  We have to be able to dig inside, fining practical ways to build our confidence and see the good in ourselves throughout the day.  So…here are 3 simple things you can do today to build up your confidence.

1.  Make a List.

List-making has been doing wonders for me. Every morning I make a list of what I need to complete for my “work” and “personal” life.  Sometimes, I even add things to the list as I do them.  Here’s the amazing thing….at the end of the day, I see everything accomplished, and I feel a great sense of self-confidence.

My temptation is to feel discouraged, looking at what I’m not doing or what I could be doing better. With list-making, I see first hand all I accomplish and see how valuable I am.

2.  Refresh your undergarments.

Listen…when I get out of the shower and put on some old, worn-out intimate apparel, it affects how I feel about myself.  As a mom, this hasn’t been a high priority for me to spend money.  I have put it at the bottom of my list.  However, when I recently bought this awesome looking apparel from Kohls, I was amazingly put in a different mind space…just from putting on some beautiful matching Kohls

3.  Pump the positive.

Your internal voice changes when positivity is the constant voice.  Pumping positivity can be listening to an inspirational podcast, reading a book on self-growth or listening to some encouraging music.  These are all things I love to do.  I pump myself up with scripture verses for the day, constantly reading inspirational books, and listening to positive tunes.
