Our Favorite Toy Brands & What We Are Getting the Kids This Christmas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I am excited to share some of our favorite toy brands, and some of the items we are getting our kids for Christmas. They are all great quality brands, and affordable.

Our boys are 13, 10, and 4. They all have similar interests, but the gifts are a little different depending on their age.  As we get closer to Christmas, I start looking for great gift ideas that my kids will love, and there are few brands I know I can always count on to create excitement for my kids on that special morning. I shop at Kohl’s all the time for our family’s needs so, Christmas is no different. There are a few things that my kids ask for EVERY single year. Legos, cars of some kind, and toys that will stretch their imaginations.

My oldest boys love Lego anything, and have quite the collection from past years. My middle son particularly really likes Jurassic Park, so I knew I had to get him the LEGO Jurassic World Blue’s Helicopter Pursuit Set. I love how this takes him some time, and gives him a great sense of accomplishment. Also, he can take the sets apart and create a variety of other creations with the same pieces.

Our boys have never had any type of “play food”, but really like to help me cook and play with the items at other people’s homes. These boys love cars, and my husband loves to get down on the ground and play right along with them. Fisher Price is another brand that we know we can always rely on for great gifts that will cause a lot of excitement, and hours of endless play. I picked up this Little People Work Together Construction Site for my youngest, and since he has opened it he hasn’t looked at another toy in our house. He loves it. I love hearing all of his dialogue, and his imagination expanding as he learns how to run the construction site. Also, at this age kids compare the gifts by the size. This set is a great size, great quality, and exclusively at Kohl’s.

I was able to easily grab fun items that I know my kids would love, and find the brands that I like to buy them every year all in one place. This takes away a lot of the holiday stress from running around multiple places to find what I need. Many of us moms, just don’t have the time so, purchasing items online and picking them up in store is usually what I do.  Kohl’s always has great prices, and Kohl’s cash that you can redeem later. I always put a reminder in my phone, to make sure I go back, and purchase another item that my kids want for Christmas.
