There are so many benefits to being the only girl in the house, however what’s not a benefit is the odors and mess that accompany living in a house full of boys. I love making our home a fun and relaxing place to be, and a lot of that has to do with keeping our home smelling fresh. 1. Delegate.
My boys are 5, 11, and 13 so we have a wide age range in our home. All of them have ways they can help out with keeping the house smelling good all day long. Luckily, our new home has an upstairs laundry room, so we have the kids sort their clothes and do their own laundry every week. My youngest can easily sort the colors and help throw the items into the machine. Keeping items in that room, and having the kids stay on top of it really lessens any lingering odors through our home.
