I have been asked so many times for this recipes so I am finally blogging it! I am a major foodie, and pulled pork is one of my all time favorite foods. I have worked on this recipe for years, and finally have what I believe to be the best slow-cooker pulled pork recipe!
My family absolutely loves this recipe, and I love anything I can quickly throw together in the morning, and leave to cook all day.
The key to this awesome recipe is making a rub, using great quality BBQ sauce like Sweet Baby Rays , and the cut of the pork you use.
In the recipe below, I use a pork shoulder, but I alternate between pork butt and shoulder. Both are incredibly tender. Any other cut of pork will come out dry, and not as tender.
Also, I add coke to this recipe, but beer is also a great addition. It completely cooks down so don’t worry about your children eating it. The coke and the beer tend to do the same thing: tenderize.
I can’t wait to hear how you enjoy this recipe! You will never make another!
