The Best Apple Pie
*Sharing a simple and delicious apple pie recipe that is perfect for any time of the year. I love this season mainly because, I could eat pumpkin and apple treats every day. I love apple picking with my kids and I love having people over to enjoy my famous apple pie. My kids love it so much that they ask me to make it for their birthdays rather than a cake. My friends and family rave whenever I make it, but to be honest it is a really easy recipe. You truly can’t mess it up. I love to cook and bake, but I do not make my own crust. Store bought pie crust works just great for our family, but feel free to look up a crust recipe to go with this if you want to be more adventurous than I am! I love the power food has with bringing people together and getting them to open up and share their lives. It is definitely a way I love on the people in my life. I hope this brings your friends and family some joy as well. Enjoy!

Some tips on the recipe: *To really spice it up, I grab some caramel sauce from the store and drizzle it over the pie when it’s still hot, and sprinkle it with crushed pecans. OMG. It’s amazing. *Also, I mix one egg with 1/2 cup of water and brush it lightly over the pie before putting it in the oven. It will give your pie a beautiful golden color! *To create the ripple design: use your thumb and pointer finger to hold down the crust and push your pointer finger from your other hand in between them. Continue the same motion around the entire crust. *Using an apple cutter will make this apple pie so much easier. I just cut each slice in half and then they will all be the same size.
