I love a New Year. A fresh start. New Goals. New possibilities. This year my husband and I have some goals that will help us be more intentional with our family throughout the year.
Take 2 Family Vacations.
This year we are planning 2 family vacations to make some new memories with our kids. Vacations were so important to my family when growing up, and we love being able to pass this down to our kids. We always pick a beach location, and the other one is a pretty magical experience (more to come on that soon.)
Weekly Game Night.
The benefit of having older boys now is they know how to play games that are fun for us too. Our favorite game is Monopoly. It’s great for the kids math skills, and I have to constantly remind my husband that it’s not real money ..so relax. LOL.
Having a game night once a week, keeps us all connected in the midst of our busy schedules, and game nights consists of easy dinners so that I can spend more time enjoying my family.
On-Cor makes that possible with their simple entrée products. On-Cor has recently enhanced their products to satisfy the needs of moms looking for convenient, quality dinner solutions for their families. They have so many options from hearty entrées to microwave favorites, convenience has never tasted so delicious. No frills, no fancy. Just really, really good food. On-Cor is just a freezer away for an always easy, always satisfying and always ready solution for “one of those nights.
One of our new favorites is the Penne Pasta & Meatballs with Tomato Sauce. It was easy to make in the oven, simple and delicious. Pair it with a salad and garlic bread and youv’e got yourself an amazing meal.
Individual Dates with our Kids.
It is so important for us to schedule individual time alone with each of our kids to encourage them and just have fun together. Many times their brothers can be a distraction to each one getting focused time alone with each of us so, we are making a point to do that. This time will consist of going out to eat, for ice cream, a movie or doing a fun activity.
My middle son loves to help me make fun snacks for family night so, we spent some time trying out our new popcorn maker!
I’m really excited to be more intentional about our family this year, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

More family time, travel more, and pay off debt are our goals this year.
Those are great goals!
We love road trips, so I am already planning the adventures for this new year. And lots of games night, movies night, dinner under the stars and camping.
Those all sound so awesome with a lot of memories!
I just started following your blog and I find it very entertaining and useful. Our family goals for 2018 are to take two vacations. One family vacation and one vacation for just the hubby and I. Another goal is to complete a kitchen renovation. We have been in our home for 2 1/2 years and the kitchen is the most used but the least functional. We are very excited about this new year. ?
Thanks! I’m happy to have you following along!! Those are amazing goals! Sounds like a great year!

Hey girl! What a fun giveaway! I had to enter bc my kids love popcorn AND game nights! One of my New Year’s “intentions” is for more date nights! We rarely get out just the two of us and I know you know how important that is too!
That’s awesome girl! Yes, we want to do more date nights too!
This is awesome! One of my goals for the New Year is to stop eating meat completely!
That’s amazing! so hard for this girl, but will have a lot of benefits!
My step sons moved in with us full-time at the beginning of the school year, so I went from one child to three. I spent the end of last year frazzled. I don’t necessarily call it a resolution, but it’s a goal of mine to relax with them during the week and not get so caught up in laundry, dinner, and cleaning. Last night we all sat down and just talked and laughed. An hour went by before we knew it. I went to bed for the first time in months feeling calm and relaxed.
That’s so awesome! Yes that is a resolution and a great one at that!
To spend more time reading.
One of mine too!
I resolve to read more to my toddler.
My goal is to be more active and to walk more.
I love your list!! We are resolving to be more present in the moment, and to work on eating better – less restaurants and more home-coooked meals with veggies!
I love that! Something we need to do as well!
One of our family goals this year is to stay off our phones more and enjoy all the moments. & one movie night during the weekend!
I love that goal so much!
I’m one of 5 – with 4 brothers. Game nights are still one of our favorite things to do together!
aww I love that!
These are such great goals! You have a lovely family!
thanks so much!
These are amazing goals!! I need to be better about game night!
My New Year’s goals are to drink more water, spend more time reading the Bible, and spending less time on the iPad. Thanks.

It is so important to write down your goals I think! These are great family goals! I especially love game night—such a great thing to do!
Yes it really is! Thanks!
My main goal this year is to eat in more and order out less. We are always so busy with me being a nurse and my husband being a diesel mechanic and on call 24/7 on top of our son playing football and basketball we really never have time to be home to cook a really good meal but this year we are making time!
That is definitely one of my goals as well!
